"This piece was created to let others that deal with social stigmas know they're not alone. Society deems many things as taboo. For example, I (like so many others) struggle with mental illness. No matter what your personal stigma is to deal with, I truly believe one of the best ways to cope is to look past the negative aspects of your situation and try to focus on the taboo attributes that make you unique. This piece is 16x20" and was created with acrylics on stretched canvas. It's titled, "A-stigma-tism."
