"This new piece was created to help spread awareness on the feelings that are often felt by those with chronic illnesses. This will be an ongoing series that was recommended by the amazing Dr. Melanie Hoppers that I'll add to sporadically over time.
This particular piece expresses a feeling that everyone can relate to, but is GREATLY amplified by those suffering from chronic illness---isolation. For those suffering from things like Chronic Fatigue, POTS (an illness that deals with an unstable blood pressure), Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (an illness that causes incredible pressure inside the skull), etc...leaving the house and socialization often becomes near impossible. The isolation itself begins to feel like an illness."
